Offers “After School Clubs”: a 13 week programme where local “experts” introduce young people to a variety of cooking techniques; a Food Hygiene Certificate is also offered.
Leads the Education Day at the Annual Food Festival in Ludlow where local colleges offer demonstrations and invite young people to participate.
Builds relationships with private sector partners to harness their interest and commitment.
Organises the Young Chefs Competition which attracts entrants from across Shropshire.
Encourages other Market Towns & Festivals to follow the Skillbuilders lead.
Networks with like minded cities and regions across the UK to share the ethos of Skillbuilders.
Facilitates transnational links between partners in the UK and Europe.
